About the workspace

A useful first pass for real fence jobs.

Fence Run Planner helps homeowners and small contractors move from straight-run measurements to a checkable post layout, material list and customer brief.

Last reviewed: October 12, 2026

What you can do

Enter feet and inches, connect runs or place gate openings, see post positions, add your own labor and supplier prices, save projects locally, print a customer brief and download a post schedule. The calculation is transparent and free during this pilot.

What still needs a professional on site

The tool cannot survey a property, measure slope or grade, check local code, locate underground utilities, specify structural reinforcement or guarantee a supplier’s stock dimensions. A printed estimate is a planning document until those details and the final scope are confirmed.

Why it is free

This pilot helps us learn which steps save users time on actual jobs before deciding whether a more advanced contractor product is justified. There is no paid plan or checkout here today.
